That keynote font you are raving about is very hard to read, and it looks terrible. Next time give Arial a try!

In response to Carlo: I use this function as advertised all the time and before I even came across this blog. It works great.

One thing to emphasize - Build in effects exported to PDF just appear when clicked, they don't glide from left to right and, as such, fancy options like comet or confetti are useless. Therefore,
when choosing the Effect for the "Build in" choose either "Appear" or "Move in". The presentation using PDF will be seamless. If you keep a fancy build-in, there will be a delay and redraw of the screen using a PDF viewer like Acrobat which is not desirable.

I came across this post thinking that the print each build function would be useful. Unfortunately it seems that no one actually has ever tried to use it (including the developers at Apple), because I have yet to come across anyone who has been able to get this function to work as advertised. I'm just wondering if you actually got this to work yourself? Thanks for the post.

Whooooaaaahhh!! What a fantastic blog post, Ed! I just managed to go through it in detail and loved it! That tip surely is powerful and I am so going to try it out next time I am due for a presentation! Yes, that is right! My days as a PowerPoint user are numbered! Had enough of it, and diving straight right into Keynote! It makes just such a huge difference w.r.t. user friendly, intuitive, does what I want it to, not whatever it wants and the list goes on and on and on!

I am really glad you have taken the time to blog it, because I surely am going to recommend it to a bunch of Mac converts where I work who I know are going to enjoy it, just as much!!

Thanks much, Ed, for taking the time to post it, when I know you have got much more important things to attend to like your newly born second grand-son ;-)

Congratulations and all the best to the proud parents and grand-parents!! :-)
