I’ve added a few items to my “ugly Betty” Web 2.0 presentation. As usual, you can access it as a sharable Google Docs presentation by clicking here; or you can download the far more beautiful 17.4-megabyte PDF version by clicking here.
Here’s what I’ve added to the material:
- On page 38: I added a bullet point identifying “wikiality” (truth by consensus) as one of the risks of Wikipedia.
- On page 73: I added a bullet point with a link to a blog article on “the future of web startups“
- On page 79: I added a link to an Oct 8, 2007 New York Times article about clevercommute.com to the bullet point about a Web 2.0 approach to providing information about travel delays — information that “traditional” government services can’t really provide.
- On page 85: I added a link to the fan-made iPhone commercial to the other examples of letting consumers provide ads and commercials to help market a product.
- On page 104: I added a bullet point, with a link to a Wired article indicating that 30% of young people don’t even know their own phone number (and also the parenthetical remark that many don’t bother to wear a watch any more, because they tell time by looking at their cell-phone).
That’s all for now; more later …

Thanks for a very useful presentation covering so many aspects – and the GFDL licence to it.
I don’t wish to carp – and you may have covered these in previous posts – but several of your links point to ‘my.yahoo.com’, which don’t take me anywhere.
I am currently doing some work on developing a Web 2.0 resource with particular health focus at present – and any items that I think might be of use in the areas of the presentation where you invite additions, I will certainly send on.
Thanks again for the effort, and the sharing.
