Thanks to the responsiveness and helpful suggestions of a couple of Google tech-support folks, I’ve found my missing Web 2.0 Google presentation document, aka “Ugly Betty.” Who knew that Google has both a “Google Apps” mechanism and a “Google Docs” mechanism? I certainly didn’t … but now I do. It turns out that I have accounts in both of these places, with the same user-id … I have no idea how that happened, or what it really means; I’ll sort out the details later.
In the meantime, I’ve managed to incorporate all of the changes that I’ve summarized during the past couple of days, and which I provided as version 37, and version 38, of a PDF-downloadable file. Those PDFs are still available; click here to download the most up-to-date version 38 PDF file.
And to see the same content as a sharable Google presentation document, click here. It seems to work, though it needs to be tidied up a bit; and I’ve got another half-dozen additions and updates to make tomorrow, which I can now do confidently (well, sort of confidently) in both the Google environment, and the Apple Keynote environment (which I’ll continue exporting to a downloadable PDF file).
In the meantime, if you would like to become a collaborator — which will give you the ability to edit and revise the Google document — send me an email, tell me what you’re doing in the Web 2.0 world, and it should be fairly straightforward for me to add you to the list of collaborators.
Thank you, Googlers!
