I’m going to be presenting a seminar on Web 2.0 this fall, and I’ve also found myself in more and more situations where I need to share my thoughts, opinions, and resources on the concepts and technologies of Web 2.0. So I’ve decided to start a new web site to make all of this available to anyone who’s involved with, or interested in, the subject. But since this blog site covers a whole spectrum of non-Web-2.0 topics, I decided to put it somewhere else; and since it’s evolving and quite rough at the moment, I decided to keep it away from my “formal” web site at www.yourdon.com. So, at least for the time being, you’ll find it on my .Mac website, at http://web.mac.com/yourdon, which I’m building with Apple’s nifty iWeb tool (which I just began using an hour ago, for the first time).
The initial entry is a mind-map showing the major aspects of Web 2.0 that I’m collecting together; I’ve created it with a tool called ConceptDraw, and exported it as a PDF file. You can download the entire PDF file from my Web 2.0 site, and as time goes on, I’ll add more detail, more hyperlinks, and other goodies.
I’ve discussed mind-maps in various other blog entries (God only knows where; you’ll have to find them yourself, along with some recommended books on the topic), and I deliberately chose a mind-map instead of putting everything into a Powerpoint presentation. I’m not trying to insult Powerpoint, but I wanted a different presentation mechanism, to help emphasize the difference between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. I was initially planning on using a newer mindmapping tool called NovaMind, but I was annoyed with the way it insisted on laying out the “branches” from the central starting point. In addition, ConceptDraw supports multi-page, hierarchical mind-maps, which I think will be fairly important as my initial mind-map grows in size and complexity.
So that’s it for the moment. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about Web 2.0 or what I’m doing, feel free to post a comment here, or on the individual pages of my Web 2.0 site.

After reading you post I still have one question. What exactly is Web 2.0? I couldn’t find that mind map you refered to on you “Web 2.0″ site so I wasn’t able to look into it further.
